Crooks are indeed abundant in the Avandia debacle.
It looks to me like the manufacturer, the celeb/patron saint physician, self aggrandizing politicians, and some bloggers have incentives for continued confusion around the safety of a diabetes drug.
Avandia's manufacturer has had opportunities to do the right thing. Neglecting those opportunities simply schools other "crooks" in the fine art of deceiving the public.
