Can Dr. Rost be silenced? The blogworld wants to know!

The blogworld clearly loved Jim Edwards post, Can Pfizer Get Over Its Anger and Utilize the Leverage It Has With Rost? The response was instant. Jim's post even sparked two separate polls (I have linked to the original polls below):

Could Peter Rost be silenced by stuffing his mouth with gold?

What will it take to silence Rost?
Somewhat less than $1 Million
$1 to $2 Million
$2 to $5 Million
$5 to $10 Million
An astronomical sum of money!

A way to quiet Peter Rost?
By Kevin

"BrandweekNRX gives a scenario to slow the burgeoning force that is Peter Rost: If Pfizer is ever able to swallow its pride and offer Rost a decent settlement, it is highly likely that they would require that he never say a public word again about the company. And given the...."

How about this scenario; Not the "offer he can't refuse" made famous by The Godfather, which I as others think Pfizer should do and get it over with for their sake. After all it will be the old "pay me now or pay me later" for the good doc can't lose. The world just has not gotten that rotten, yet.
Maybe Pfizer plays this scenario instead: You remember Michael Corlione, the new godfather giving the counter offer to the corrupted senator after he asked him to pay what(?) $200.000 for the gaming licence instead of regular amount of $12.000, "for every casino".
Michael' response: "here is the deal senator,I GIVE YOU NOTHING. I expect you to pay the for the licence yourself".
The senator makes a face and leaves. Of course he did pay in much worse way in the end.
Maybe Pfizer already said:"Peter we give you NOTHING and expect you to give back with intererst all the money you made with Pfizer plus all the future income from your books and blogging (if any). Of course we'll take your first born and train him to become a Pfizer's whistleblower hunter/killer, so we never have to go through this again."
All right it is far fatched but in Bigpharmaland everything is possible and allowed.

This is most puzzling. The total voters for both polls re Rost's compensation is 82 at this time. This is an exteremely low number and one wonders how many readers do visit and how many do give a damn.
Also the frequency and numbers of commentators have dropped significantly, even for most interesting and telling posts. One wonders how many potential whistle blowers will see the call to whistles and reveal what they know. Is some advertising necessary?

Anon, do not despair. Normally only a small fraction ever vote or leave a comment. On average 0.1%-1%
