Question Authority! But not here.

And, I may add, also don't question authority or the HuffPo technology manager, on the Huffington Post web site.

You will get fired.

Sorry for posting this on two separate threads, but I feel it is a very real option, and one of the few actions we can employ in an effort to hold the Huffington Post accountable for its actions.....

I would like to encourage all of you to email regular contributors to the Huffington Blog to weigh in on this issue, or boycott the blog altogether. What progressive blogger truly wants his opinions blogged at a site that is manipulating the thread content? It is obvious, after watching Love's thread unfold on THP, that they are now limiting the responses, and hoping that this will blow over and quickly be forgotten. It would be a shame if that happened, for if nothing else, this Rost thing has shown us that The Huffington Post cannot be trusted to honestly represent a true consensus of the opinion of its posters. So again, I hope all of you will take the time to email their regular contributors to THP and let them know that it is in their best interests to encourage THP to apologize to its readers, FIRE that slimey troll Andy, and institute policies that prohibit its troll/techies from manipulating content.

Antichrist.

Very good. One has to assume, and probably most correctly that Yakko the wakko did that comment under orders as it's obvious a computer techie could care less about these things all on his own.

MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY.

Makes the world go around to the point of evil.

Isn't it amazing that apparently intelligent, educated people have such a void in their sense of morality or just plain honesty? We certainly know that a large plurality of Americans have forfeited their God given ability to think cognitively. However the right wingers have been able to convince them that stupidity equals patriotism and Godliness. But how people I thought were on "our" side can be so easily manipulated into self delusion is really scary. I always wondered how long it would take for all these idealistic thinkers, with their new sense of internet power, to sell their souls when some loose coins are sprinkled at their feet.

Sadly, all I can do is what another poster suggested....write their advertisers and bloggers and express my profound disappointment.
Here's what I wrote Peter love, a Huffpo sycophant, the other day:

**********************************************************************
Mr. Love, You seem to be the poster boy for the old country saying " A diploma doesn't guarantee that you have an education." Are you and your ever smaller group of apologists implying that because it's Arianna's site, the good faith readers and posters should just accept being manipulated and deceived or else leave? Was that how this blog was advertised? Were we told that our involvement and responses were simply cannon fodder to be toyed with, deleted, or delayed for hours by her "editors?"

I would write much more, but experience has shown me that I've been blocked, even though any reasonable person would question whether I've violated the famous "comment policy."

Anyway, much as I'm sure this won't be posted, I'll just continue trying. Until the time grown ups replace the current bunch running the show, I'll have to do as more and more are forced to do, post on the ever growing list of sites that have a more respectful opinion of their readers.

At this point, one must assume Mr. Love has a vested interest in THP.

I second the Boycott call.

Arianna's newest post has been up for a while and there are still no comments. She's going on about the NYT finally beginning to be "real" investigative journalists again. Pot-kettle-pot....

Calling for a boycott THP sounds resonable. I haven't seen many contributors who publish email addresses on THP though.

Is there a way without offending?

I got banned yet again for posting what I did on page 1 of the comments at the following blog entry (as censorship is still very much alive at Huffingtonpost.com):
