The words of the AZ whistleblower tonight, not mine:
For a full week hundreds of AstraZeneca employees were poring over the ZubeLetter. They were absolutely horrified that "it got out".
PR, legal, analysts and everyone else was wholly focussed on this PR nightmare caused by one of their own.
It wasn't until bloggers published THEIR OWN POLICY and explained to them in child like terms that "selling against letrozole"was wrong that they realized they had ANOTHER crisis to deal with i.e. widespread illegal product promotion.
This is the mindset that thousands of AZ pharmaceutical reps have to deal with. Pressure from the entire chain of command to break their own policies in the name of greed.
