Close your Chase bank account!

Are you a Chase customer? Watch this video to see how several New York City Chase branches simply threw out their customers' information right in New York--the state with the nation's highest rate of identity theft.

Customers' names, dates of birth, social security numbers, phone numbers, addresses, and account numbers were all found in publicly accessible trash left out on the curb by their city's largest bank.

Unbelievable.

If this could be you, be sure to call Chase at (312) 732-7007 and tell them not to trash your identity too!

What's your source on NY having the largest rate of ID theft? Because somebody just told me the other day it was Arizona. Of course, given that she was trying to sell me ID theft insurance in Arizona, she clearly had a vested interest in telling me that; I'd just like to see some data.
