"I’ve always admired Novartis as one of the truly ethical pharma companies, so these allegations are extremely disturbing."

Pharma Manufacturing writes, "I’ve always admired Novartis as one of the truly ethical pharma companies, so these allegations are extremely disturbing."

All the bigpharma cos have something to admire about. After all they have contributed so much to humanity in terms of improving helth of nations and so on. Remeber penicillyn. However there is tholidomide, Vioxx, Zelnorm ...you get the picture. The side that is not to be admired is the third side, the nasty/ugly side that we are not admiring here and on many other blogs. This side deals with all the variations of misconduct that the bigpharma have come up with over the years. From off label promo to falls claims to bribery and so on. The list is so long that no one person could compile it on their own. Just look at this case. Completely new and unique. How many others are under cover, already done or being done? No one can tell. Only further whistleblowing from this and other companies will enrich our awareness of the misconducts that the Boys from BigPharmaland can come up with. The possibilities are unlimitted. Righ Novartis and all the others?

I absolutely love it when pharmaceutical companies posture themselves in public as being "ethical". Brings to mind a group of midgets arguing amongst themselves about "who is the tallest".
