"Pfizer directors worry the company's shares, now trading at a 10½-year low of $19.18, would plunge to $10 or $12."

Story in the Wall Street Journal.

My prediction: Jeff Kindler will be gone within five years, unless he makes another major acquisition.

And another one.

And another one . . .

Peter, you maybe right but my prediction is he'll be gone within 2-3 years. In todays "modern" bigpharma biz the longevity of even the most successful/celebrity CEO is about 2-3 years. One exception that no one is able to explain is Dr. Dan Vasella of Novartis. As you know he originates from Sandoz side and having married the niece of then chairperson of Sandoz, he seems to be CEO/chairman for life. Maybe the niece thing is the answer for his longevity. Judging from what majority of sales reps think of him, he is not very popular or respected. What do you think?
