As a fellow Whistleblower in the war on corruption in the pharmaceutical industry, I can't think of a more qualified man for the post of FDA Commissioner than Dr. Rost. His agenda is exactly what we need to clean up the FDA and the industry it pretends to regulate. In fact, the foxes in this case are not only guarding the hen-house, they're also paying the rent on it.
Pharmaceutical companies actually pay most of the salaries of the "regulators" who approve their products. It's no small wonder that 1) unsafe drugs are making it to the market; 2) fraudlent marketing practices are rampant and 3) that FDA frequently does nothing more than send the manufacturer a "warning letter" and even in the worst drug safety disasters usually asks for a "voluntary" withdrawal of drugs from the market.
We desperately need someone of Dr. Rost's qualifications as a pharma exective, a physician and a fighter of corruption to make the FDA work for us - not for the pharmaceutical industry.
