Get free wifi phone on ipod and ipad!
Coolest thing ever . . . I justed turned my ipod and my ipad into wifi phones with free calls in the US/Canada.
First, activate "phone" in your gmail account (see left column, and this way you get free phone on your computer). You have to do this on your computer, since the "phone" feature doesn't show up on the ipod/ipad. Then download app "Talkatone" to your ipod/ipad and log in with your gmail account. You now have free calling in the US and no ads or anything to listen to!
If you want to get free US phone number activate Google Voice. Unfortunately Google has not yet done their own app to use ipod/ipad as phone. The Google Voice app simply allows you to get your regular phone hooked up to free call.
